Our Mission
The Infectious Diseases Nutrition DPG is the advocate of the dietetics profession serving the public through the promotion of optimal nutrition, health and well being. The Infectious Diseases Nutrition DPG enables members of the American Dietetic Association (ADA) to network and share information, collaborate, and advocate in order to positively impact people affected HIV/AIDS.

Our Goals
- To support and expand a network of dietetics professionals and share information and experiences on the nutritional management of HIV/AIDS.
- To create and disseminate a comprehensive quarterly publication that provides nutrition information to members, allied health professionals, and primary care providers in the field of HIV/AIDS management through a variety of communication channels.
- To inform members of current research in HIV/AIDS nutrition, and to provide support for their participation in research projects through networking and a competitive research grant.
- To advocate through public policy and education for the integration of nutrition into HIV disease management.

Your annual dues give you the following membership benefits:- Positive Communication — Peer-reviewed quarterly newsletter (ISSN# 1096-7370) providing current information on treatments, research, and resources concerning HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and other infectious diseases, and their impact on nutrition. Members can view and download previous versions online.

- Discounted registration for ANSA and NIAC Conferences
- Members-Only area of Website — Requires password access, contains a full menu of special online features such as:
- Electronic Mailing Listserv and Educational Archive — Provides an online forum for IDN DPG members to share information, opinions, and ideas with fellow members. An archive of past messages pertaining to dietetic issues in HIV/AIDS is also available to IDN DPG members only.
- Online Membership Roster — Accessible to IDN DPG members only.
- Past issues of Positive Communication -- Accesible to IDN DPG members only
- Access to shared member-created resources such as slide presentations.
